The accommodation provider will send a link to the guest’s email address to start the online check-in process without the need to download the app.
Start of the online check-in process
When the guest clicks on the link sent via messaging services, they will be taken to app.checkinscan.com, where they can click on ‘Start check-in’ in their browser.
At the start of the process, the guest’s booking details will appear on the screen. If everything is correct, click ‘Continue’ to start scanning the documents.
Identity verification
You will then need to scan the MRZ code (the alphanumeric characters usually found on the back of your ID card or passport), which will automatically capture the required details. The device’s camera will read the document’s code.
Sign
Once the ID document has been scanned, the registration process will be completed by providing a digital signature using your finger or a stylus.
Forwarding data to the relevant authorities
Once the in-person check-in process has been completed, travellers’ details will be reported to the relevant authorities, in compliance with all legal requirements.
